SUMMER GOALS!

Hello beautiful bloggers!

It's official--I'm done with my junior year!! I seriously can't explain how excited I am :D.  Although I'm happy that my school is done, I definitely want to attempt usefulness with my time this summer (as I am rather the Phineas and Ferb type:P) because if I don't, I'll wind up spending 3 months watching videos like grav3yardgirl and Sherlock :P.

1. Become Sherlock Holmes. My current (actually on going and thus totally rational :P) obsession with Sherlock Holmes has included regular watching of the 2010 film, waiting for the release of the second film, reading Hound of the Baskervilles, and now watching the BBC version.  I'm planning to sharpen my deductive reasoning skills through reading these "reasoning" books that I fortunately own from some class back in the past. After that I'm planning to go to college and major in physcology physiology phychcology psychology (learning to spell it's gonna be the first step). Totally kidding. :P

2. Work out. Groan...this was something I tried in January. It lasted.......okay, I admit it. It lasted 1 stinking day. BUT I SHALL PREVAIL. I have these (disturbing) videos to help me now!

3. Read LOTS of classics. This one will hopefully actually happen, and I'm totally pumped. The only one I've decided to do for sure is Les Miz (NOT GOING TO TRY TO SPELL IT). But if you have classic suggestions, let me know! I think I'll try Persuasion by Austen again too...and there was one by Dostoevesky which I have forgotten the name of...
I'm for certain reading Bleak House by Dickens--excited!

4. Finnish Geometry and Spanish 1. *cowers in fear* please don't stone me! I know I'm a horrible student! But they will be completed, I hereby promise.

5. Get a tan. Come on, it's the all-american summer pastime. I'm a conformist. So far this one has resulted in more burning than tanning. :/

What are your summer plans/goals/ridiculous hopes?

  1. This is amazing! hahahahaha! YOU'RE amazing. My goal this summer to have a jolly old time since this is my last normal summer. I'm gonna work hard, have lots of money, go to the movies, film movies, swim, tan, and grow closer to God!

  2. Was the Dostoyevsky novel Crime and Punishment, by any chance? Because I'm reading that now as part of my required summer reading. I have yet to form a final opinion on it. It was awful at first, but it's getting a little more interesting and I actually laughed a couple of times. :P By the way, I love your blog. :)

    1. Yes it was! Are you enjoying C&P? I agree, it definitely gets better as you go along. It actually became one of my favorites, once I was able to keep track of the who's-whos. :P Thank you so much!

  3. Yes! I actually haven't finished it yet because I got sidetracked with several other books... (I'm a very ADD reader. I still haven't finished The Return of the King because I want it to be there if I ever need something REALLY good to read. haha.) But I am liking it and I plan to finish it soon. I hope the remainder of your summer is lovely. :)

    1. Oh, you NEED to read The Return of the King! It's long, but one of the absolute best books of all time :). I'm the same though...I'm usually reading 3-4 books at a time ;D. I hope you're having a great summer too!
